Carol Kessler (1916-2004) was an artist and designer in San Jose, CA for over 60 years. Adventurous in life and on the canvas, Carol created drawn works in oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, collages, graphic arts, fiber arts, wearable arts, and became especially proficient in the demanding and labor-intensive techniques of serigraphy (silk screening). and presaged the later extensive use of fibers in artwork. She was also committed to developing art as a profession, including the co-creation of the famed San Jose Art League.
