Daniel Mincer | People

Daniel Mincer (1953-1981) captured life as he experienced it everyday, both in his works portraying people and in his works using still objects. Where people were his artistic focus, he drew upon close family members and friends as subjects and generally based these paintings on photographs. His self portraits exhibit a range of moods, an unusual and evocative way of presenting not just his image but his experience. His paintings of nudes stand out for their focused composition and use of color.
