Duayne Hatchett | Geometric Paintings

In the 1970s, Duayne Hatchett developed a series of paintings to exploit the simple line drawings previously used to define his minimalist sculptures. These pieces explore the optical relativity of two and three-dimensional space depicted on a flat plane. Symmetry is key to these paintings and to the evolution of his sculpture.
