Nancy Webb | Figures and Forms

Nancy Webb (1926-2012) was a multifaceted artist, best known for paintings, book illustrations, printmaking, and for creating sculptures, both large and small. Here, we see a collection of her table top sculptural figures - skulls, horses, helmets, babies, and fantastical figures - in a range of media including wood and resin, bronze, stone and found metals. The rich colors and textures give each sculpture have an almost tangible liveliness while the quiet elegance in her lines and choice of medium stands along side the imaginative and sometimes "wyrd" rendering of otherwise recognizable figures.
